Robin Cravey to appear at Testify, Sept. 29,
telling his personal story, “Fruits of Action”

Robin Cravey will make his story-telling stage debut this month at
Testify, Austin’s popular monthly story-telling show. The show will take place at the North Door, 501 Brushy Street, on September 29. Doors open at 7 pm, and the performance starts at 7:30.

Cravey has appeared frequently at poetry venues around Austin, reading his unique blend of poems of the natural world, human aspiration, love, and family. He has also been a tireless volunteer and leader in local politics and community service outfits. He was a candidate for Austin City Council in 2008.

At Testify, Cravey will appear as just one of a half dozen storytellers presenting the lively variety of stories that has made Testify a beloved Austin venue. Testify ventures away from it’s regular location at Spiderhouse Ballroom this month, to a one-time performance at the North Door, near East Fifth and IH-35.

The Testify theme this month is Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes, and Cravey will tell a personal story about milestones in his life, and his recent decision to give up his political ambitions. The story title is “Fruits of Action.”

Doors will open Thursday, September 29, at 7 pm at the North Door, 501 Brushy Street. Admission is $5 cash, $6 credit card.
